THE
FRANCHISING CONCEPT
The owners, developers and managers of special services and
products are increasingly leaning on franchising to extend quality
products and services to clients throughout the globe. This
works well both ways: The investors or the unemployed, (cautious
and conservative people) seeking enterprise in place of RIBA
based income, are opting for dependable franchises that can
compensate the deployment of their labor and capital. On the
other hand, the need of “very personal service” relations with
clients, and the sale of securitized product by trained people
to them is carefully met. In any event the man-on-the-spot,
who has stakes in the trade, a commitment, causes institutional
continuity. The answer for both parties is franchising indeed.
This in-effect means sharing our piece of bread with others.
We do this happily to broad-base insurance awareness and to
generate enterprise. The conventional insurance salesman does
still live, but now he works for an insurance franchise and
with greater dignity. Now he has more returns for his hard labour.
METHOD
We have structured our franchise called ‘SITARA’ for people
who can have open territories throughout Pakistan and overseas.
Should they be located in a commercially viable out-let, and
have a purse of their own (or borrowed) to meet their qualification
as a franchisee, they are on! More, they need not be insurance
people. On first come first served basis applicants, with or
without prior insurance experience, may avail the franchise
on a simple application. We claim that ‘SITARA’ is a better
paying franchise than that of airlines, fuel vending stations,
the like. We also claim the freedom of exit, with no financial
loss to the franchisee, and total freedom of transfer often
at a premium. |
